New cases from Proporta make it easy for you to carry your 'stuff'

Who said you can't take it with you? Obviously the originator of that phrase is not on Proporta's Christmas list.

The prolific case gurus have just created two new items for those of us that lug around more equipment than your average armed force. Their new DVD/Netbook case ($44.95) and Gadget Bag with USB Mobile Device Charger ($83.95) complement their already burgeoning line of cases and accessories for PDAs, digital phones, and everything else that's "portable".

Both bags feature several external and internal compartments to store all of the cables, disks and other items these devices require. But even the abundance of velcro and zippers doesn't prevent them from being "stylish," if you're into that sort of thing.

The DVD/Netbook Case

-- A padded lining to protect your device.
-- Detachable pockets to store cables, leads and other accessories.
-- Internal pockets for CDs and DVDs.
-- Secure double-zip fastening.
-- You can use your player while it's still in the case.

Gadget Bag

-- All of the things listed above, except for the CD/DVD pockets.
-- A plastic aperture for every compartment, which allows you to connect headphones and charging cables without removing the device from its case.
-- A USB Mobile Device Charger, which is a battery that can be recharged by connecting it to the USB port of any computer.
